The main character of the first film in the series «Town of Woman» is Zakha Khadid, the most famous female architect in the world, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. She has every right to reign on the architectural Olympus. Zakha Khadid is of Eastern origin, but is considered a London architect and a representative of architectural avant-garde. The first reaction to her work was hostile but with her talent and will power she succeeded in breaking the tradition, changing the understanding of architectural space, broadening the boundaries of the profession and creating a new form in architecture which captivated the hearts of opponents and critics. Today her work is a world asset.

Irina Korobina
Doctor of architecture, fellow of International Academy of Architecture, councilor of Russian Academy for Architectural and Building Science, member of Union of Moscow Architects, member of Advisory Council of the Barcelona Institute of Architecture. Graduated from Moscow Architectural Institute (MArchI). Director of the C:CA — Center of Contemporary architecture in 2001-2010; director of the Schusev State Museum of Architecture from 2010 till now. Author and host of «Architect Gallery» TV program (aired in 1998-2004). Made numerous documentaries and TV progs on architecture. Curator of exhibitions, video projects and lectures. Wrote numerous articles on architecture and building in both professional and popular editions.
