Enormous changes have taken place in the cinema for children and teenagers over the last few years. Suddenly prominent authors and commercial directors seem to have forgotten «large-scale cinema» and started shooting modest heartfelt dramas and comedies about those who are just discovering the world around them. To give some idea of the scope it is sufficient to give just a few names — Fatih Akin, Michel Gondry, Bong Joon-ho, Andreas Dresen. Perhaps the masters grew tired of large-scale productions. Or perhaps they remembered that children are the best viewers. Or perhaps everyone wants to work for the future. And the simplest way is to make a movie about those and for those who will determine our tomorrow.
